Now That You Have A Wallets NUBAN Number, What Does It Mean?
We recently launched our latest feature, which gives all our users the option to transfer money directly from their bank account to their wallets. We expected that there were going to be a few questions about this and we weren’t disappointed. So let’s get to answering some of the top questions we’ve gotten since the announcement.
Does this mean you now have a Providus Bank account?
No, it doesn’t. While your Wallets NUBAN number is powered by Providus Bank, it still remains a virtual account number and is unique to you. This means that while you would select Providus Bank when transferring to Wallets, you can’t perform transactions as a Providus customer.
Can other people deposit money into the new account number?
Sure! Your Wallets NUBAN account number acts like any other account number when performing a transfer. You and anyone you share your account number with can send money directly to your wallet using bank transfers. To transfer to your Wallets account, make use of your preferred method of transfers (bank app or USSD) and select Providus Bank when the options appear. The money will be reflected in your wallet as soon as you’re done.
How do you access your new NUBAN account number?
Your new account number can be found under the fund option on your dashboard and the More tab within the mobile app, where you can also tap on the number to copy it. If you haven’t linked your BVN to your Wallets account you should do that first so we can generate an account number for you.
What can you do with your new NUBAN account number?
Your Wallets NUBAN account number is exclusively for getting money into your wallet through bank transfers.
