Introducing Transfers To Businesses

It is why we build products/features that are particularly enthusiastic about your financial experience. We’re also very intentional about ensuring that the processes are as seamless and straight to the point. One of the ways we intend doing this is by ensuring that it’s easy for you to move money around platforms that you actually use and love.

It is why we’re excited to introduce you to Transfer to Business, our latest feature that will be running across our business and consumer products going forward.

For this, we spoke to Tobi, one of the engineers here at Wallets about the feature and here’s what he had to say

We started the feature after looking at the payment system in the country, there is still a high failure rate. Anytime I want to make a payment, I have a feeling that it’s not going to work and I’m hoping it doesn’t fail. Transfer to Business is here to end that. We want both customers and businesses to receive money without fear and instantly. There are a lot of use cases we see for this feature and we hope to keep listening to feedback to make it even better.

That being said, what does this feature mean exactly?

It allows you be able to send money to businesses easily and pay for goods and services that you use, easily and without the stress. Like Tobi said, it removes the chances of failure and is instant.

This feature is open to all Wallets customers and will be opening up for consumers and businesses. Customers are able to send money to the businesses who opt in.

How Does This Work?

1. Log in to the your app
2. Go to ‘Send Money’ and click on ‘Transfer to Business’
3. Enter the amount you wish to send.

4. You can also add the reference if it’s for a particular product.

5. Check the business directory for the business you want to transfer to

6. Confirm the details of your transaction

7. Your money is on its way to the business.

How Do I Get My Business On The Directory?

If you already use Wallets for Business, it’s very easy. All you have to do is:

1. Log in to your web dashboard
2. Go to ‘Settings’
3. Switch to ‘Business Settings’ and allow customers send you money via the app
4. And that’s it! Customers are able to bring out your business name.
